Next Monday, March 28th, Thiel College’s Radio Station, WXTC, will be doing a 24 hour broadcast to support the Lupus Foundation. This foundation helps patients battling Lupus, which is a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the joints, skins, kidneys and other internal organs.
This is the first time in a long time that WXTC has done a 24 hour broadcast without automation. They called in all the help from the DJs that are currently doing shows. For the first time you can tune in anytime of the day on the radio and hear Thiel students’ and faculties’ curated shows.
If you still are interested in supporting WXTC, they have a link for you to donate to the foundation. If the donation is made before Monday, you can request a song to played over the air during the broadcast. You can still donate during the broadcast but do not get the added benefit of a song played during the broadcast.
If you want more information about WXTC and their broadcast or the LUPUS Foundation, wear purple on that Monday. Everyone from the station encourages it because that is the color of the foundation. Want more information about the broadcast visit the radio’s website here. For more information on the LUPUS Foundation itself, click here. Do not forget to tune into WXTC 88.1FM either on the radio or through their TuneIn linked here.
