Every April, the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon have their philanthropy event. This semester, the event will run from Monday, April 26- Friday, April 30. They will be out in heels from 9 a.m.-7p.m.
This event is done in conjunction with AWARE of Mercer County, in which the chapter brothers stand in high heels and collect money from the Thiel community as well as the Greenville community.
The heels were brought in by AWARE, and they are the ones that the brothers will be wearing throughout the week.
This philanthropy event is to help bring awareness to domestic violence, as well as sexual violence.
In past years, they have done well, but with COVID hitting last year and sending everyone home, they hope to make up for lost time last year. This year, they have set a goal of $1,500, and hope that they may even be able to break their goal.
