Greenville PA, October 15th- After battling long five sets the Thiel Women’s Volleyball team defeated the Grove City Wolverines on their home court in Beeghly Gymnasium. After the tomcats gained a 2-0 lead, they ended up falling in the next two sets (25-17, 25-18)

In the final fifth set, the tomcats came out early with a 5-1 lead with help from players Raqual McDonald, Rebecca Dougherty, and Kylee Eaton who all pitched in kills along with an ace from Dougherty.

The game went back and forth putting the score at 14-12. Continuing to fight, Courtney Grubbs came through with two aces in a row putting the Tomcats up 15-14. Grove City ending the game with an error gave the Tomcats the victory.

The win now puts the Lady Tomcats at 7-4 in the PAC on this season. Thiel travels to Bethany College on Thursday, October 17th with the first serve being at 7pm, tune into the Thiel Athletics website to watch!
