Dear Juliet,
I read your first response on the Thielensian website and enjoyed it. I was hoping you could possibly help me also.
I have high functioning autism. Because of this I’m not good with social queues such as flirting or picking up on “signals.” Is there any advice you could give me to help me navigate the dating scene?
Thank you,
Lonely
Dear Lonely,
Dating and flirting are hard to navigate for anyone; I can’t imagine how hard your situation is, but know you are not alone. My advice to you is to make finding a relationship like finding a friend. Finding someone who is easy and natural to be with is usually a good indicator that you are on the right track. When you are with this person you won’t have to look for clues. The signs will become obvious as your relationship develops; just be patient. I hope this helps!
Good Luck!
With Love,
Juliet
